If you were Christian and a psychic would you give up your gift for your religion? Some Christians relinquish their connection to the supernatural, due to their fear of hell or of being judged harshly by their community.
The premise is that a Christian cannot be psychic, as they risk negotiating with Evil Spirits. Christians must only lay their trust in Jesus, any other perspective or belief system is seen as liaising with the Antichrist.
If you do pertain to the Christian psychics category your gift will probably throw you into a morass of guilt and confusion. How can you continue to practice your religion and see into the future at the same time, especially when your natural predictive powers are frowned upon by your Church?
You might believe you are evil if you are a Christian psychic; yet your only problem might be a highly sensitive temporary lobe! Seriously, your love of Jesus cannot diminish because you sense paranormal worlds; on the contrary your faith in Christ’s love could increase. Additionally, you could consider that your gift is from the God who created you. Being your true self is your right and only you can use the gift of free will to judge whether psychic gifts will be dangerous for your soul or not.
In the bible soothsayers had visions of angels, heard the voice of God, or sensed what was to come. Could psychics of today could have been the prophets of yesteryear? Some biblical prophets claimed their messages were directed to them by the Holy Spirit. Old Testament prophets predicted the birth, life and resurrection of the Messiah. In Isaiah 49:6, the prophet speaks of “a servant of God who would be a light to Gentiles (non-Jews) so that God’s salvation could reach the ends of the earth.”
Research claims a total of 133 profits in the Bible. There were sixteen women prophets including Isaiah’s wife Hilda, Hannah, Rebecca and Miriam. Hannah prophesized the coming of Jesus saying “Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and those that believeth on him shall not be confounded”. So was Hannah a lookalike for a modern psychic? Probably yes. She was certainly a blessed women.
Some Christian psychics refuse to negate their skills, and are ready to carry them forwards, even so their faith in Jesus remains strong, they see him as their saviour, their prophet and healer. He transmits his light through them, just as he transmits his light and love throughout the universe. A true Christian psychic will maintain her gift yet never relinquish her faith, and that is as it should be.
