The wonder of meditation is that it unites us with that “inner state” George was referring to, call it the Self, and when we access that Self we become both relaxed and energized, a wonderful combo for success.
Meditation defines our purpose, makes us compassionate and wise. We experience the presence of a divine being, we enhance our capacity to love, and enjoy life. We slow down our heart rate, reduce viral infection and stress, and relax our central nervous system. We become more intuitive, we develop will power.
Of course like all disciplines meditation needs consistency to work. We must set aside time for it, perhaps early in the morning. We could then burn some incense, and perhaps play soft, relaxing music in the background. After a while, our home will be imbued with positive vibes that others pick up on when they visit us.
There are many types of meditation to choose from. Should we go for Transcendental Meditation, or the in and out breath technique? Perhaps the walking meditation would serve us well?
