You have an interesting antique collection, knick knacks you bought at a car boot sale, a Victorian vase perhaps, or a doll, an Edwardian glove or an African mask. However, ever since the African mask has been hanging on your wall you have been feeling rather depressed, things have not been going that well.
Remove that mask from the wall now, it could have belonged to a shaman, and be loaded with magical energies. It might even have been an object of worship, in that case it won’t like hanging on your wall! On the other hand perhaps it was created to wreak havoc on an enemy. African masks are connected to spirit forces and hellish ones at times. However, not all African masks bring bad luck, but you would need to know the type of energy yours carries if you are feeling “iffy”.
When it comes to bad vibes, it is best not to own a leather sofa, or carpet your floors with tiger rugs if you want luck to play a part in your life. Additionally, stuffed animals bring down the energy, as do broken cups or plates. Rid yourself of all that stuff toute suite. Additionally, do not hang scary pictures on the wall, like ship wrecks, as they do not do your personal vibe any good. If you want your house to emanate positive energy, and you believe an object might be bringing things down, learn to hold that object in your hand and “see” its history, origins, and purpose, if you can do that you will have learned psychometry.
Psychometry is simply a matter of holding an object in your hand, and “sussing out” its history, and the feelings and events that surround it. The fact is objects emanate auras just like you and I, and a good psychic can pick up on what those energy patterns are communicating.
Michael Talbo, who authored “The Holographic Universe”, said “I suggest that the past is not lost, but still exists in some form accessible to human perception.” That past.emanates a sub atomic resonance, which creates a paradigm, a “field”, a “zone” and that zone contains past, present and future energies within it.”
So, if you want to suss out what that that African mask is all about centre on your inner core, your soul or your higher self. Then move your hand over it, picking up warm or cold zones, focus, concentrate on holding it for a few minutes at a time, to get to know it, to pick up its vibes. Allow sensations to flow through to you, ask questions of it, is the object happy or sad, if it could talk what would it say?
Imagine a screen before you, and a story unfolding on it. Again ask questions, did the object belong to a young or old person? What was that person doing when they wore it? How did they feel, and what were they thinking? As you practice, images will appear on the screen, you might even pick up sounds and strong emotions. In psychic terms you are “scrying” seeing beyond the veil, picking up on the person who last held wore mask or glove, and filled that vase with flowers.
Joseph Buchanan who coined the term “psychometry” in the 18th century taught physiology in an American university, and loved to experiment with his theories. He asked his students to hold vials filled with drugs and identify which ones they were. His success rate hit the high note, and Buchanan realised that everything is alive with energy, feelings and history, even objects.
The fact is, you do not have to be super psychic to understand an object; you just need to relax into it, even if connecting to psychic abilities can be a tough call if you were brought up to believe the metaphysical is “off the wall”. However, if you are just too curious to discard anything as false before you try it for yourself do not give up on psychometry, especially if you have already experienced a psychic incident like thinking of a friend and they call, or suddenly bumping into them down the supermarket.
Psychometry is based on the premise that all is one, and that nothing is disconnected from us; that concept enables psychics to access multi dimensional visions of the past, present and future, even profound feelings and events that have conditioned people all their lives.
So take that African mask off the wall if it makes you feel bad, but if you held a Victorian doll and you “saw” a lovely little girl, perhaps a lookalike for Alice in Wonderland, hugging it and covering it with affectionate kisses, know that kind of object will bring you luck!
